El joven tenista austr\u00edaco Joel Josef Schwaerzler, que cumpli\u00f3 20 a\u00f1os el pasado mes de enero, contin\u00faa confirmando su progresi\u00f3n en el circuito Challenger tras clasificarse para su segunda final consecutiva en apenas dos semanas.<\/strong><\/p>\n

El m\u00e9rito es a\u00fan mayor si se tiene en cuenta el contexto. El pasado domingo 1 de marzo disputaba la final del Challenger de Lugano (Suiza), en pista dura indoor. Nada m\u00e1s terminar ese encuentro emprendi\u00f3 viaje hacia Kigali (Ruanda) para competir en el Challenger de esta semana.<\/p>\n

El cambio no pod\u00eda ser m\u00e1s exigente: pasar de pista dura cubierta a tierra batida y adem\u00e1s en altura, ya que Kigali se encuentra a 1.567 metros sobre el nivel del mar, algo que suele complicar mucho la adaptaci\u00f3n de los jugadores.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, Schwaerzler<\/strong> ha respondido con una semana espectacular que adem\u00e1s le permite entrar por primera vez en el Top 200 del ranking ATP. El austr\u00edaco se ha convertido en el hombre del tiebreak durante el torneo. M\u00e1s all\u00e1 del resultado final, lo que destaca es la capacidad de adaptaci\u00f3n y madurez competitiva del austr\u00edaco, que ha ganado partidos muy igualados frente a rivales experimentados.
